Yesterday the year 7's in Room 12 led the senior syndicate throughout the assembly.
My job was working with Jamayne and Nurul, and we were responsible for hosting an activity. The activity we chose was to play Pictionary.
The songs we sang were "Over The Rainbow" by Israel and "Count On Me" by Bruno Mars. In my own opinion "Count On Me" was the most outstanding because the meaning had value.
I am a Year 8 student at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 1 and my teacher is Mr Reid.

Sweet And Sour Pork
Sweet and sour pork was on the menu for today.
This week Faye and I collaborated and prepared a small but delicious dish. It was a very vibrant mix of vegetables and some juicy pork.
The sauce had some soy sauce to golden the colour and pineapple to sweeten it up a bit more.
Overall I think this dish was one of my favorites that we have made in cooking class.

Chop Suey
Today my partner, Limiteti, and the other year 7's and year 8's made chop suey. It contained vegetables, meat and vermicelli.
First we sliced up the ingredients and the meat and boiled the vermicelli. After that we combined the ingredients and mixed them all together to make the chop suey.
Overall it was a very yummy dish and would recommend for dinner or lunch.

Room 9's Assembly
On Monday Room 9 entertained the senior syndicate assembly. They prepared games and two songs for everyone to sing.
We sang "Don't Give It Up" by Six60 and "Lean On Me". My favorite was "Don't Give It Up."
Later on four people from each class went up to play maths bang. Maths bang is just like the original game bang but you have to answer a maths question then say, "Bang!"
The champion was our head prefect Jessica.

Fritata With Kumara
Today Sione and I made Fritata with kumara. We used eggs, kumara that we shredded, milk and onions. First we fried our onions in some oil, added it all into a small baking tray then we baked it in the sizzling oven and left it to cook until it turned into a rich golden brown colour. Once it was time to eat Sione started demolishing in and to me it was fine but it wasn't outstanding. I am looking forward to next week and what we will be cooking.

Macaroni And Cheese
On Wednesday for tech the year 7's made macaroni and cheese. We had to make the cheese sauce and boil the macaroni until it became soft. After we combined the macaroni and the cheese sauce we put it in a cake tin and sprinkled more cheese to make it extra cheesy. Then we melted the cheese in the oven and then 'tada' it was finally complete. Our final presentation looked like this.

Creating Cybersmart Passwords
Always make sure when you make an online account that you use a secure password. Having a secure password will allow yourself to not get hacked.
A password should be kept to yourself and never be shared with anyone. Once you share your password someone could notify another person and another. Make sure to always choose a password you think nobody would think of.
Another proposal is that you make a password that you will remember because making a hard password that you will forget the next day isn't good.
