Local Elections Take Place Around New Zealand

Different regions in New Zealand have completed voting for the Body Elections of 2019. This means the people of Aotearoa have to vote for their new mayor, city councillors and also the district health board.

The mayor for Auckland still is Phil Golf as he beat his challenger. Wellingtons mayor will be Andy Foster and Sir Tim Shadbolt Invercargill's mayor for the ninth time. Dunedin's mayor is 35 year old Aaron Hawkins and Fisher Wang was elected into Rotorua Lakes Council, as the youngest person to be ever voted into Government.
