Earthquakes Hit Whakaari

Whakaari also known as White Island has had a large number of earthquakes for the past few days. Whakaari is New Zealand's most active volcano at the moment.

There has been about 196 earthquakes around the area since Thursday. It has been said that as the earthquakes are getting stronger and it may cause Whakaari to collapse.

Twenty-two hours in the past twenty-four hours the size has lifted up to magnitude 3. The largest earthquake that hit has been measured to about 3.9. Some experts are are keeping watch of the island just encase another eruption happens again and the island actually does collapse.

Guide Dog Gives Birth

On May 30th a US dog gave birth to eight puppies in the airport of Tampa, Florida.

Eleanor Ellie Rigby a two year old dog delivered the puppies with the help of Tampa's medical team. Her owners already knew that she was pregnant but didn't know that she was so close to giving labour. Mother Ellie and father Nugget have seven male pups and one special female puppy. A man said on the microphone that were set to take their flight when suddenly Ellie gave birth to her pups. 

The family and their eight pups were happy but also sad because they missed their flight.

Jacinda Meets Leaders In London

A few days ago New Zealand's prime minister Jacinda Adern flew to London to meet the leaders of Canada, Australia and England.

Two days ago she sat down and had a chat with the Canadian and Australian leaders about the Russians and their rumours about them using computers. She also had a face-to-face talk with the UK Prime Minister Theresa May in Downing Street. During their meeting they talked about the worlds disasters and the number 1 thing they talked about was..... Syria. 

Then to finish off the day Jacinda went to go see Prince Charles and Princess Camilla, after visiting them she lastly saw the Duchess of Cornwall and the London mayor Sadiq Khan.
