Smart Footprints

Did you know that whatever you search up online can be saved into your history forever? Well if you didn't you need to learn that you should only be using your devices for appropriate things, for example school work.

You mustn't share all your private information like your password and all those important things. Learning the difference from private information and public information can help you figure out what you shouldn't be giving away.

On your blog you can share content with people as long as you know your parents will be proud of and won't have them worried. Remember to never share private information!

Creating Cybersmart Passwords

These are some tips that you should use when designing an account.

Always make sure when you make an online account that you use a secure password. Having a secure password will allow yourself to not get hacked.

A password should be kept to yourself and never be shared with anyone. Once you share your password someone could notify another person and another. Make sure to always choose a password you think nobody would think of.

Another proposal is that you make a password that you will remember because making a hard password that you will forget the next day isn't good.

Film Festival Word Bank!

Since last week Tuesday, Mrs Grant told our class that we had to work on a word bank she set up some slide decks and made some slides that was of her reading about some things in the movie Inside Out. She chose that movie because it has a lot of emotions and has powerful words in there. In the movie this girl called Riley has 5 emotions in her brain controlling her they are, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear. The bad part is when Sadness touches one of the core memories it turns blue and sad and then Joy and Sadness get Sucked away and so Anger, Fear and Disgust have to take over Riley's brain while Joy and Sadness try to get back.

Cockroaches On The Menu!!

Kiwis
Screenshot 2017-09-13 at 10.04.16 AM.pngIntroduction:
Today I will be writing a Description about Kiwis
Colour:
The colour of Kiwis are brown usually they are dark brown because they live in forests that are muddy. Kiwis are sometimes hard to see because their skin tone can match objects around the forests.
Size:
The size a Kiwi is 2.20 pounds and their height is 20 inches It is the same size as a female chicken. Kiwis are very small. Not all but some are small and some are big.
Food:
Kiwis eat tinier things than them like Spiders, Earthworms, Larvaes, Centipedes, Beetles, Snails, Frogs, Cockroaches, Wetas, Caterpillars,  Crickets and Chrysalises.
Predators:
The predators of Kiwis are Ferrets, Cats, Dogs, Possums, Weasels and Stoats. Sometimes Kiwis can come across Possum traps and fall into it. It is easy for the predators to attack the Kiwi because it is quite slow.
Habitats:
Kiwis like to live in the Forests or Snowy places. When they’re there they are kind of Warm but mostly Cold that’s why they have feathers. It is good for them to live in Snowy places more than the Forests because their predators will get cold and run back.
In Conclusion:

In conclusion Kiwis are very special and Native to Aotearoa (New Zealand). Not that many Kiwis are in Aotearoa because they have been killed and that is sad.

My Tangram House!

A tangram is a puzzle made up of 7 shapes. The tangram really challenged my mind to the test to see if I could solve it but I think I failed.

The first few tries I failed but then Shaniqua helped me figure it out, Mrs Riley showed Shaniqua how to do it.

One keyboard tip was Shift and the arrow pointing to the right and  another is Alt and the arrow pointing to the left.

The Best Collage Ever!

  • In Room 9 we have been learning how to make a comic collage.
  • Each box has a speech bubble and inside it is something that talks about what you should do.
  • I enjoyed creating it because it is fun adding different colours and shapes.
  • If I ever do another comic collage I would try to make a bigger one.

I want to challenge myself

Screenshot 2017-06-06 at 11.29.33 AM.png
Aloha and welcome to my blog. My name is Agueer and I am 9 years old. I attend Ruapotaka Primary School and  I am a year 5 in room 9. In my family I have 3 brothers, no sisters a mum and dad. I come from South Sudan but I was born in New Zealand! My best friend is Liza because she has been with me my whole life, since I was one.

My goals for this year in Reading is to try move to Sapphire. In maths I want to get better at my multiplication.
Also in Writing I want to get better at adding more detail and making my writing in sequence. I am good at Inquiry, Maths, Writing and Reading. I want to challenge myself to see if I can read higher.

I am really looking forward to this year because I want to see what I will achieve in the future. Mrs Riley inspires me because she tells me to keep on trying when I want to give up. I also want to share my learning with all of you because I want to connect with you!
